21 Jul 17:05 10 Game : Kick the Can
1. Choose a Cub to be It. If you think the group or the playing area will make this game too difficult with just one Cub being It, you can have multiple players be It.
2. Designate general boundaries for the playing area. Somewhere within the area, designate a “jail” where tagged players must go. There is no base in this game.
3. It places the can in the middle of the playing area.
4. Everyone else hides while It covers their eyes and counts to 20. (Adjust the number as necessary based on the size of the playing area and the number of players.)
5. When finished counting, It tries to find the hidden players and tag them. When a player is tagged, he goes to the jail and stays there.
6. If one of the players who is still free manages to kick the can, everyone is released from jail.
7. The game ends when all of the non-It players are in jail.

  • Knot the end of the balloon, then snip off 1⁄2 inch from the top.
  • Stretch the balloon over the cutoff end of the cup so that the knot is in the center. (You’ll need to hold the balloon in place when you “pop,” or secure it with a rubber band for little hands.)
  • Place a mini marshmallow into the cup so it fits snugly in the knotted center of the balloon. While aiming the cup away from you (and others), pull the knot back, release, and see how far you can send the marshmallow soaring

21 Jul 17:45 10 Game : Mad Hat Toss Split into sixes. Each six stands on a starting line several feet away from a giant hat which you have made out of an upturned bucket with a paper rim on it. At the front of the line place another hat full of small balls, bean bags or water bombs. Stand the cubs in a line behind the hat of balls and on the whistle, the cubs (one at a time) have to grab a ball and then toss the ball into the hat. They then run to the back of the line and the next player goes. Set a time limit and the six with the most balls in the hat is the winner. Akela
21 Jul 17:55 10 Game : Steal the Bacon

Two teams line up facing each other with a large space between them. In the middle of the two teams an object is placed that represents the “bacon”. Each team captain gives each of her team members a number. Then the captains from each team take turns calling out numbers. The two players (one from each team) whose number was called advance to the “bacon.” Each player tries to steal the “bacon” without being tagged by the opposing player. When the “bacon” is successfully stolen, one point is earned for that team. When a player tags the opposing player with the “bacon” before she reaches her team another point is earned.

1. Each player is assigned a different number.
2. Everyone gathers around the Cub who is on.
3.  The Cub (It) throws the ball straight up in the air and the players run away.
4. While the ball is in the air, It calls a number and also runs away.
5. The player who was assigned the number which It called must catch the ball, chasing it if necessary.
6. When the person has control of the ball, he yells “Spud!” and everyone freezes.
7. The person with the ball can take three giant steps toward any other player. Then tries to hit one of the other players with the ball by throwing it. The players can try to dodge the ball by ducking or bending, but they must keep their feet planted.
8. If a player is hit or if he moves his feet while dodging the ball, he is assigned a letter – First S, then the second time P, then U, then D. He is also It. (or simply have the Cub be out on first or third hit).
9. If the thrower misses, then he is It.
10. When a player reaches SPUD with his letters, he is out of the game.
11. Last player left in the game wins

Coke bottle

balloon

sosatie sticks with balls (pom poms/polystyrene) on the end

Cut the coke bottle at the top.  Keep the part with the lid.  Push the balloon through the opening (lid) and fold over the lip.  Put ball/pom-pom on end of sosatie stick.  To shoot:  Place sosatie stick in balloon and pull back.  Release both balloon and stick to shoot.
