A minion has been infected with the PX-41 serum. Don't let him touch you or you will also begin to mutate into a Purple Minion
07 Nov 10:35 10 Game : Purple Minion Catch One Cub is on as the Purple Minion (can give him/her a purple wool wig).  If he/she touches another Cub, they become infected and also become "purple" and need to catch the others. Can give some of the Cubs water sprays to use to "cure" the purple minions and turn them back to normal.  The Cub with the wig however, cannot be cured.  You can swop the wig around to give a few different Cubs the opportunity to chase.
Bagheera
Yellow, blue, yellow, blue - these puzzles are hard to do.
07 Nov 10:45 30 Crafts : Minion Puzzle

The first step is to stick our craft sticks together using sellotape or similar.  (the sticky plastic used for covering books is also good and can be cut to size).  Stick them in the order you want them to be arranged in the puzzle. I

Then you will start drawing your puzzle picture on the collection of sticks. The Cubs may want to use a combination of markers, crayons, and paint on your puzzles. You could also easily just pick one drawing tool to work with.

Once dry, you need to peel the craft sticks off of the contact paper/sellotape.

How to Make a Minion Puzzle with Craft Sticks

Now you are ready to have someone try to put your puzzle together. There were so many blue and yellow sticks that had similar lines on them. One way you could make it easier would be to put numbers on the back of each stick.

How to Make a Minion Puzzle with Craft Sticks

See http://jdaniel4smom.com/2015/06/minion-craft-sticks-puzzle.html for original idea.

It doesn't have to be a single minion picture, can be an arrangement of minions.

Can be used for other themes as well:

Darzee
Minions helped Gru and Dr Nefario with their inventions. See how many ideas you have in the next game

07 Nov 11:35 10 Game : Knock 'em Over

Use 2 litre bottles to create the skittles to be knocked down.  Can be painted to look like Minions (or other ideas):

Using a stocking with a tennis ball in the foot, children put the stocking on their head and must spin around, knocking over as many bottles as possible with the ball in the foot of the stocking.

07 Nov 11:50 25 Activities : Steal the Crown Jewels

Staves, etc.

Ropes

Bucket with stones

Using the poles and rope the Six must steal the crown jewels (like the Minions had to do in the movie).  A circle is made in rope around a bucket filled with some rocks/stones.  The Minions must get the bucket out of the circle without stepping inside the circle of rope.

Rules:

1. The Cubs may use only the assigned materials and their bodies

2. If a Cub steps into the circle, the alarm goes off and they must start again

The first team to retrieve the Crown Jewels wins.

Minions are always fighting each other, just like brothers sometimes do. Do you fight like that sometimes?
07 Nov 12:15 10 Game : Minion Fight Divide Cubs into two teams on either side of a rope line.  Each team gets and equal number of water balloons and will take turns throwing them.  If you are hit, you transfer to the other team.  Team with most players at the end wins. Mang

Story of a Good Turn - How boy scouts got to America

Story
The History of the Boy Scouts of America
The Story of a Good Turn
Taken from the Boy Scout Handbook

One day in 1909 in London, England, an American visitor, William D. Boyce, lost his way in a dense fog. He stopped under a street lamp and tried to figure out where he was. A boy approached him and asked if he could be of help.
"You certainly can," said Boyce. He told the boy that he wanted to find a certain business office in the center of the city.
"I'll take you there," said the boy.
When they got to the destination, Mr. Boyce reached into his pocket for a tip. But the boy stopped him.
"No thank you, sir. I am a Scout. I won't take anything for helping."
"A Scout? And what might that be?" asked Boyce.
The boy told the American about himself and his brother Scouts. Boyce became very interested. After finishing his errand, he had the boy take him to the British Scouting office.
At the office, Boyce met Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the famous British general who had founded the Scouting movement in Great Britain. Boyce was so impressed with what he learned that he decided to bring Scouting home with him.
On February 8, 1910, Boyce and a group of outstanding leaders founded the Boy Scouts of America. From that day forth, Scouts have celebrated February 8 as the birthday of Scouting in the United States.
What happened to the boy who helped Mr. Boyce find his way in the fog? No one knows. He had neither asked for money nor given his name, but he will never be forgotten. His Good Turn helped bring the Scouting movement to our country.
In the British Scout Training Center at Gilwell Park, England, Scouts from the United States erected a statue of an American buffalo in honor of this unknown Scout. One Good Turn to one man became a Good Turn to millions of American boys. Such is the power of a Good Turn.
