Playdough in various colours

Black playdough with silver glitter for a flat model or alternatively, different length sticks to create a 3D model

Cubs to use variety of coloured play dough to create each of the planets.  Mix colours as necessary and use cardboard to make Saturn's rings

Either place each of the planets into the black star spangled playdough.  Alternatively, to make a large central sun and, using thin sosatie sticks of differing length, place each of the planets around the sun, starting with Mercury closest and Neptune furthest out.
