Catch the Lion by his Tail

Category Game
Type Circle game
Time to allocate (mins) 10
Instructions
This is played in the same way as Duck, Duck, Goose. Tie a piece of string around one of the Cubs’ waists in a knot that will easily let go to slip off afterward.  Alternatively, they can use their scarves tucked into their belts as a "tail". Have the rest of the Cubs sit in a circle. The “lion” goes around the group touching each guest on the head in turn and saying “lion, lion, lion…” and finally, “hyena!” When a Cub is called the “hyena,” that Cub must chase the lion around the circle. If they catch the lion, that Cub is the next lion, and so on.
